Iris Godette, a native of New Bern and resident of Bowie, Maryland entered into eternal rest on Friday, April 11, 2025 at University of Maryland Capital Regional Medical Center, Largo, Maryland.

Viewing hours are 9:30 AM to 6:45 PM Friday at Oscar's Mortuary.

Family viewing is 6:00 PM, Friday, April 25, 2025 at Oscar's Memorial Chapel followed by the AKA “Ivy Beyond The Wall” Ceremony at 7:00 PM.

Her Service is 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 26, 2025 at St Peter’s AMEZ Church 617 Queen St., New Bern, NC. The interment will follow at the Meadows Cemetery.

She is survived by her brother, Myron Godette; aunts, Ludie Baker (Wilbert), Delilah Bryant, Azalee Godette, Jettie Bell, Cherrye Bell; uncle, Edward Bell; cousin/sister, Natasha Baker, Upper Marlboro, MD.
