Mr. Reginald Lamar Sims, Sr., a beloved brother, who gained his wings on March 19, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia. He was born in Quitman, Georgia, to the late Ms. Evelyn Mae Hill Sims and Mr. George Sims. He was the second oldest of four children. Also, Mr. Sims attended Brooks County High School.

He was employed by Langdale Forest Products and Walmart for many years. Also, he was self-employed as a merchant in Valdosta, Georgia, and Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Sims was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church.

Reginald was preceded in death by his mother, Ms. Evelyn Mae Hill Sims; maternal grandparents, Mr. Paul George Hill and Ms. Viola Evelyn Hill; sister, and paternal grandparents, Mr. Leroy Sims and Ms. Vernelle Sims.

Reginald leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife, Angel L. Sims; his children, Razonte D. Sims of Atlanta, Georgia, Darnell L. Weatherspoon of Hahira, Georgia, Reginald L. Sims Jr. of Valdosta, Georgia, Rodrick J. Sims (Jalisa) of Quitman, Georgia, and Regina Sims of Quitman, Georgia; and his 12 grandchildren; mother-in-law Ms.

Dulce Cook; and brother-in-law Mr. Jesse Kincade.

Reginald also leaves memories of love to his brother, Ronald Sims (Arisha) of Petal, Mississippi; and sisters, Audrey Johns of Quitman, Georgia, and Shanita Mathlett (Michael) of Valdosta, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Home going services were held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 3PM at Redland McIntosh Cemetery in Valdosta, GA.
