Mr. Maurice “Chucky” Speights, Jr., of Marianna, Florida transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Monday, March 24, 2025, in Jackson Hospital in Marianna, Florida.

Homegoing Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 2:00 PM from the sanctuary of Jerusalem African Methodist Episcopal Church located at 2055 Hwy 73 South in Marianna, Florida 32448.

Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Speights will lie in repose at the church from 1:00 PM until time for the service.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM at Vann Funeral Home.

He leaves to cherish a lifetime of fond, yet precious memories, a loving and devoted family:

Two Sons: Maurice Speights, III, and Ronald Speights both of Marianna, Florida

Four Sisters: Cornelius Speights and Talia Speights both of Marianna, Florida; Shaun (Minister Walter) Hooks and Tammy Baker both of Dothan, Alabama

One Brother: Dennis Speights of Marianna, Florida
