TYLER---Celebration of life for Mr. Kenneth “Big Block” Battles, 56 of Tyler, Texas is scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, March 22, 2025 at New Canaan Baptist Church in Whitehouse, Texas. Elder Tommy Lacy will be the eulogist. Burial will be in the New Canaan Cemetery under direction of John R. Harmon Undertaking Company.

Mr. Battles was born on March 20, 1968 in Smith County to the late R.B. Battles and Estella Caldwell Battles. He transitioned on March 12, 2025 at his residence in Tyler, Texas.

Mr. Battles was a life resident of Smith County. He was a graduate of Arp High School. He was a former employee of Kelly Tire Company for over 20 years of service and after that he worked for Smith County Road and Bridge Department. Mr. Battles was a member of New Canaan Baptist Church and served as a former usher. He also attended Berry's Temple COGIC.

His father preceded him death along with his sister: Barbara Battles. His memories will be cherished in the hearts of his spouse: Margaret Battles; mother: Estella Battles; Mother In Law: Margaret Walker all of Tyler, Texas; Daughter: Kenya Battles of Tyler and Shirley Moore (Phillip Burns) of San Antonio, Texas; sons: Orenthro Walker and Montreal Walker both of Lewisville, Texas; sister: Amy Battles of Houston; grandchildren: Cameron Walker Christian Walker and Briana Walker and a host of relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be on Friday, March 21, 2025 at the funeral home from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
