It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Walter Shelly Collette.

Walter Shelly Collett passed quietly, with his family at his side, on February 27, 2025. Walter was born October 22, 1938, in Orlando Florida, to the late Master Sargent Shelly David Collett and Miss. Elsa Demps.
Walter attended Florida A&M University as a Language major, on a band scholarship, under the direction of Dr. William P. Foster. After leaving Tallahassee, Walter lived and worked in California for over thirty years until he and his wife, Jennie, retired and moved back to Tallahassee.
Memorial Service will be 11:30 A.M. Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church, 302 Wallis Street Tallahassee, FL
