Devora Linda Moore, 73 of Winston Salem, NC passed Friday March 7, 2025. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 20, 25025, with visitation from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 2400 Dellabrook Rd., Winston Salem, NC with service beginning at 2:00 p.m.
Devora Linda Moore was the loving daughter of Cora Moore Edwards and Clyde Moore. She was a sister, mother, grandmother and so much more. As a foster parent she touched and changed the lives of many. During her childhood years the family worshipped at Hanes Memorial CME Church. Devora was a graduate of Anderson High School and Forsyth Technical College with a business major. Later in life Devora moved to Baltimore, Maryland where she worked as an administrative assistant and upon retirement as a care giver.
Devora had a loving, caring spirit and her smile would light up the room. She was filled with empathy inside and out and whatever she did for someone else she did without expecting anything in return. Ill intentions were never a part of anything she did for others. When her health began to decline a reduced workload allowed more time to enjoy the TV shows she loved as she followed the day to day of Reba, Monk, Judge Mathis and Jerry Springer and played solitaire on her phone and did word search puzzles.
Surviving to cherish her many loving memories are daughters: Rochelle and Starr Moore of Baltimore Maryland; brothers: Clyde (Peggy) and Reggie (Ernestine) Moore; grandchildren; Nevaeh Moore of the home and grandsons, Romari and Kylan Bongo of Baltimore, Maryland and a host of nieces and nephews and many other family members.
Devora passed peacefully at the family home in Winston-Salem with her beloved Neveah near. Neveah says her grandmother wouldn’t want anyone shedding a tear over her passing having said to her many times “If it’s my time, so be it”. We shall celebrate Devora’s life of love with smiles and laughter.
