Samuel Wallace

Samuel Odell Wallace was born December 31, 1950 to O’Dell and Fannie Grace Wallace. He graduated from Weequahic High School in Newark, NJ. He was baptized at Trinity United Methodist Church in Newark, NJ and was a faithful member of Maxwell Chapel in Spartanburg, SC until his failing health.

Mr. Wallace was a guitar player with Jimmy Hendrix and James Brown during his earlier years. He also played the guitar for Maxwell Chapel and Hardy Chapel.

He received a black belt in martial arts.

He leaves to mourn his passing his: brothers, Earl Dean Wallace of Newark, New Jersey and O’Neal (Marilyn) Wallace of Charlotte North Carolina; Sisters, Alma Byrd, Jeanette McCormick and Mary Ann Kelly of Spartanburg, South Carolina and Janice (Jaycee) Rookard of Inman, South Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings, Odessa, Hessie Rebecca and John Wofford Wallace.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025 at 11:00 am at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel.
