“Mr. Jimmy Lee Giles” was born on September 23, 1954 in Perry, GA to the parentage of the late Annie Pearl (Cone) Giles and the late Eunice Giles of Perry, Georgia.
“Giles” as we fondly called him, was the oldest of 5 children, only in age, but by far, the youngest at heart. He attended public school in Houston County: Pearl Stephens, Kings Chapel and finally Perry High School. Giles later worked with the Georgia Power Company, as well as working several other handyman jobs. He enjoyed music, fishing and was a big fan of television’s old cowboy series, such as Bonanza, Gunsmoke, Big Valley and Rifleman, but let’s not forget Castle. He also enjoyed talking on the phone with family and friends. By nature, he was a man of very few words, laid back and soft spoken. You learned that he was really fond of you if he told you “Don’t let me put these hands on you”.
He leaves to cherish his memories his siblings, sister: Dorothy (Dwight Sr.) Collins of Warner Robins, Georgia; brothers: Johnny B. (Martha) Cone of Stockbridge, Georgia; Robert (Letricia) Cone of Perry, Georgia; one aunt: Carrestien Carmichael, who he fondly referred to as the “Silent Assassin” of Warner Robins, Georgia; a special devoted cousin: Betty J. Marshall who he fondly referred as (Ms. Marshall) of Warner Robins, Georgia and 3 more devoted cousins: Darlene Richardson, Avery Richardson of Bonaire, Georgia; Tyrone McIntosh of Covington, Georgia; a devoted friend/caregiver, Willie Frazier and a devoted friend, Kelly Boss. And a host of relatives and friends.
