Jerry J. Gordon, Sr. was born June 22, 1950 in Charleston, S.C. to the late Louisiana and the late George Gordon.

Jerry attended the public schools of Charleston County.

After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Army. Jerry served his country faithfully from August 2, 1971, to August 31, 1991. After retiring from the United States Army, he served as a Constable for Richland County for many years.

During his leisure time, Jerry loved to watch basketball, and he was a die-hard Carolina Panthers Football fan.

On Friday, February 21, 2025, our Heavenly Father saw fit to call Jerry home from labor to reward.

In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by his beautiful wife, Vivian O. Gordon.

His departure has left a tremendous void in the lives of his family: (6) Children: Timothy Gordon, Jerry James (Billie) Gordon, Jr; Eric (Annie) Gordon, Erica Gordon, Mergeron Jones, and June Jones; (10) Grandchildren; (4) Sisters: Betty Gordon, Annette Gordon, Pamela Gordon, and Carol Gordon; (2) Brothers: John (Charlotte) Gordon, Edward (Daisy) Gordon; (3) Brothers – In – Law: Clay Clovin, Rev. Glenn (Debroah) Orr, Benjamin (Vera) Orr; (1) Sister – In – Law: Dr. Lillie Rose (David) Walker. A host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and sympathizing friends.
