Rufus Preston Credle Sr., 86, of Oxon Hill, MD died Sunday, February 16, 2025 at University of Maryland Regional Medical Center.

His service is Noon, Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Pilgrim Chapel M. B. Church 313 Elder Street, James City Community, New Bern, North Carolina. Interment will follow in the Historic Meadows Cemetery.

He is survived by five sons, Rufus Credle, Jr. (Peggy) of Clayton, Joseph Credle (Yolonda) of Joliet, IL, Dr. Ira Credle (Sharron) of Upper Marlboro, MD, Kimball Credle (Marcia) of Atlanta, GA, Marvin Credle of Bowie, MD; step son, Kevin Pollard (Tammie) of Bowie, MD; eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
