Alicia Jackson

Alicia Michelle Jackson, born on March 19th, 1992, passed away on January 29, 2025. She was the youngest of children from Booker T. and Alfreda Jackson. Born and raised in Sarasota, Florida. She graduated from Southeast High School. She went on to graduate from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 2014, earning a bachelor’s degree in Aeronautics/Aviation/Aerospace Science and Technology, and, in 2016, she earned a Master of Business Administration in Airline Management.

While at Embry-Riddle, Alicia played on the inaugural Women’s Basketball team. She was also a member of the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals (OBAP), the International Society of Air Safety Investigators (ISASI), the African Student Association (ASA), and the Caribbean Student Association (CSA).

Alicia began her career as a Southwest Airlines market strategy analyst and revenue manager in Dallas, Texas. Later, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia where she worked at Delta Airlines as a Program Manager in Global Sales Analysis and Performance.

Alicia loved to spend time traveling and being with family and friends. She was spontaneous, always ready for a new adventure, a bit of a prankster, and just plain old fun to be with. Alicia had a special way with and loved children, and they adored her. If you were ever in Alicia’s presence, you were left with the lasting impression of her infectious smile and her beautiful spirit.

She was preceded in death by her father, Booker. T. Jackson.

She is survived by her mother, Alfreda Jackson; brothers, Demetrius Jifunza (Syreeta), Jason C. Jackson, and Brian Jackson; and her sister, Vivian Strong (Keith). She leaves a legacy of cherished memories as a compassionate daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and a beacon of happiness to other family and friends.

The viewing will be held from 10:00 on Saturday, February. 15, 2025, at Bethel CME Church, followed by the Funeral services at 11:00 am. Funeral arrangements by Jones Funeral Home.
