Thomas James Barnes

Thomas James Barnes (Zeke) was born February 21, 1958,in Barnesville, GA to the parentage of James and Clara Mae Barnes. At an early age, he joined Greater Spring Hill Missionary Baptist Church of Milner, GA and later joined Fellowship Bible Baptist Church of Warner Robins, GA.

During his adult life. During his younger years he attended Booker Elementary School and later Lamar County High School. He was an avid sportsman, excelling in football, basketball and baseball during his high school years and a proud graduate of the Class of 1975 of Lamar County High. He attended Morris Brown College after high school. Thomas was employed with the William Carter Company of Barnesville for several years and later employed in the Houston County and Middle Georgia area as a Security Officer and a Chef until his retirement. He loved to grill and was often called the “grill master.”

His parents preceded him in death. He was a dedicated father to his children, and leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Linda Banks Barnes of Warner Robins, GA,, 3 sons: Keilonza (Yolanda) Harden of Fayetteville GA, Quenton Barnes of Warner Robins, GA, and Quency (Jasmine) Barnes of Macon GA; sisters and brothers: Nadine Barnes of Barnesville, GA, Charlene (Arthur) Maddox of Atlanta, GA, Alicia Barnes, Terry Barnes and Wendy Barnes, all of Barnesville, GA; Nine grandchildren: Keirra, Keilonza Jr.,Haven, Frederick, Robert, Keionna, Kellis, and Quenton C; Aunts: Mary Barber and Carolyn Goss of Orlando FL, an Uncle: Will Farley of Barnesville, GA, several brothers in laws and sisters in laws and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins and friends.
