Mrs. Willie Mae Stone Linton began her journey on May 18th, 1930, in Talladega Springs, Alabama. First born child to mother, Minnie Lee Oden Stone Jackson and father, Jearline Stone.
Mrs. Willie Mae left Alabama at a very young age and moved to Ohio. She also lived in New York, California and Georgia, where she spent her last 25 years living.
Even though Mrs. Willie Mae never had a permanent church home, that never stopped her from attending service and praising and serving Our Father God.
On January 30th, 2025, Mrs. Willie Mae was called home at the age of 94 years young. She was very blessed that she had her youngest daughter, Sandra Townsend there when she went peacefully in her home. Even though we weren't ready, the Lord was ready for his child to come home.
Through this beautiful life, she had four children, two by the late Harris Estelle and two by the late Marion Lewis Butler. She Married Arthur Linton in California and they moved to Warner Robins til the day he was sent home to be with the Lord.
Mrs. Willie Mae had such gifted hands, from a master seamstress, crafts, crocheting and boi one of the best cooks that came out of Talladega, Alabama but her passion was yard sales and thrift stores. She could stay in a thrift store for hours and really find some good things. Her other highlight was going out to eat with her Family. If you knew Mrs. Willie Mae you know she was not afraid to get on the floor and dance. She danced all the way up til she was called home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Linton; sisters: Mildred Stone McNeal, Elsie Mae, Bertha Fulks, Louise Milliner, Mary Milliner, and Earline Milliner; brothers: John Stone, Robert W. Stone, and Robert E. Stone; grandson, Paul Vincent Barnes Jr. aka PJ; and nephew, Michael Wells aka Mr. Like That.
Mrs. Willie Mae have a legacy of love and memories she leaves behind three daughters: Mary Louise Mattox of California, Shona Lanet Roberts of Byron, Georgia and Sandra Townsend of Warner Robins, Georgia; one son, Harris Junior Estelle; grandsons: Eric Mattox, Harris Estill Jr., Eric Roy Townsend the 3rd, and Anthony Lancaster Jr.; granddaughters: Yearnthia Bodiford of Ohio, Marlena Estelle and Sirrah Estelle, both of California, Shawntel Key of Bryon, Georgia and Bryona Twonsend of North Caroline; two sisters: Ora Lee Jackson of Alpine Alabama, and Maggie Crawford of Odena, Alabama; two brothers: Michael Tracey Stone, and Frankie Stone, both of Odena, Alabama; sister-in-law, Tracey Stone; sons-in-law, Ralph Mattox and Eric Townsend; and daughter in law, LaShantay Roberts.
