LAWTELL – Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lawtell, LA for Mr. John Hubbard, Jr., 84, who entered eternal rest on Sunday, February 2, 2024 at Opelousas General Health System in Opelousas, LA.

Fr. Stanley Jawa, S.V.D., Pastor of Holy Family Catholic Church, will be officiating the Christian Mass.

Mr. Hubbard was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. He was a Retired United States Air Force - Senior Master Sergeant (E-8). He was a member of The Knights of Peter Claver Council 40, Lawtell, LA, where he served as the Grand Knight for several years. He had a Lifetime membership with The Retired Enlisted Association (TREA), a Life Member of Disabled American Veterans (DIV), a member of The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), and a continuous member of the American Legion.

Mr. Hubbard’s memories are being cherished by: his wife, Mrs. Juanita Richard Hubbard of Opelousas, LA; three sons, John (Cathy) Hubbard, III of Sanford, FL, Andrew (Vanessa) of Opelousas, LA and Stanton (Deborah) Hubbard of Los Angeles, CA; one brother, George (Deborah) Hubbard of Cincinnati, OH; one sister, Cora Hubbard Peaks (James) of Durham, NC; two grandchildren, Danielle V. Hubbard and Ashley L. Hubbard; and a host of relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, Mr. John Hubbard, Sr. and Mrs. Ollie Mae Hubbard and paternal grandparents, General Washington George Hubbard and Mrs. Cora Hubbard.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church.
