Joyce Nadine Ford

Joyce Nadine Carter Ford, lovingly known as Joyce to her friends and family, departed this world on January 23, 2025, in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Born on February 20, 1951, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Joyce's radiant spirit illuminated the lives of those around her for 73 remarkable years. Her sudden departure has left a void in the hearts of many, but her legacy of love, wisdom, and joy endures.

Joyce was the cherished daughter of the late Donald M. Carter and Johnnie Mae Hopkins. Though she now joins her beloved daughter Latrice J. Robinson and sister Carlet Evans in eternal rest, her vibrant memory is carried forward by a loving family. Joyce's husband, Rev. Dr. Ozzie Ford, Jr., Joyce love and nurturing remains a testament to why she is dearly missed treasured by her daughter Yolanda (Jonathan) Clayton and grandsons: Toddrick, Jimmy, Santonio, SaDarius, Sakenion, and SanDarion Clayton as they continue to honor her nurturing spirit.

Joyce's life was a rich tapestry woven with the threads of kinship and friendship. Her brothers Larry and Lawrence (aka Puncho) Carter, Anthony Jones, her sister Loretta Frazier, and sister Johnnie Lee (Charles) Robinson, her aunt Julia Mae Dunn, Forever (Brothers and Sisters-N-Love Joan (Alfred)Dixon, Diane (Vernon) Holman, Wendell(Stephanie) Robinson, Kenny reflect the bonds of family that Joyce held dear. Her God-Daughters, Valerie Fluellen, LaToya Ruffin, Kaylyn Small, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends will forever cherish the love and guidance Joyce generously bestowed upon them.

A Celebration Of Life will be held Friday, January 31, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Ross Grove Baptist Church, 1020 Tenth Avenue, Augusta, Georgia.

Interment will be in Walker Memorial Park.
