Mrs. Sarah Haslem-Cone, the daughter of the late Mattie and Henry Haslem, was born October 25, 1938, in Houston County Georgia. She received her education from the Houston County School System. At an early age she joined the Houston Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church where severed faithfully until her health failed. She was Assistant Mother of the church, served of the Usher Board and worked in many other capacities where needed. A member of the Sand Bed Lodge #3, serving as President.

On Thursday, January 23, 2025, the Angel of Death came and sealed the lips of our beloved sister; her soul winged its flight from this would of sin and sorrow to a place of eternal rest. There are some lives that disappoint us, some impression of character which we have to revise in later years; but the impression that was formed of Sister Cone remained unchanged to the end.

The quiet, sweet smile; disciplined loyal personality; and charter will be greatly missed by a sister, Mrs. Fannie Johnson of Elizabeth, New Jersey and a brother, Mr. George Haslem (Ginny) of Fort Valley Georgia.

Siblings proceeding her in death were Henry, Albert, Willie, Eura Lee, CT, David Osceola, Sylvia, Mary Ruth, and Francis

A host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
