Mr. Chester Long, of Tallahassee, Florida, formerly of Bascom, Florida, transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Monday, January 20, 2025, at his residence.

Graveside Homegoing Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM in Orange Hill Cemetery in Marianna, Florida with the Reverend Willis Long, Jr., officiating.

Mr. Long will lie in repose at the cemetery from 10:30 AM until time for the service.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Vann Funeral Home.

He leaves to cherish a lifetime of fond, yet precious memories, a loving and devoted family:

Two Sons: Michael (Meshell) Long and Rodrick Long, Sr. both of Tallahassee, Florida

Two Brothers: Reverend Willis Long Jr. of Chattahoochee, Florida and George (Carole) Long, Sr. of Midlothian, Virginia

Two Sisters: Louise Pollock of Lanham, Maryland and Carrie Sheffield of Tallahassee, Florida

And a host of grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends.
