Mrs. Norma Jean Smith entered into eternal rest on January 13, 2025 at the Valley Falls
Terrace nursing home after a long illness. She was born May 19, 1944, in Spartanburg County,
SC, to the late Romia Lee Foster. She was also preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Cathy
Smith.

She devoted her life to her family and cared for them selflessly. Norma Jean was a member of the Lewis Chapel Baptist Church, where she served faithfully on the Deaconess Ministry for many years. She was a kind, sweet lady who brought love and joy to all
those who encountered her.

Norma Jean leaves to cherish fond and loving memories: her husband, Fred Earl Smith of the home; her two sons, Timothy Earl {Bridget} Smith and Anthony O’Shield {Toria} Smith, all of Spartanburg, SC; her four granddaughters, Brittney Smith, Whitney Smith, Sharon Smith, and Victoria Means, all of Spartanburg, SC; her five grandsons, Jeremy Gonzales, Christian {Kayla} Smith, Justin Means, Johnny Rice, and Anthony Dawkins, all of Spartanburg, SC; six great- grandchildren Jaxon, Hendrix, Logan, Jayden, Jaleah, and King; her lifetime friend, Gladys Skinner of Spartanburg, SC; and a host of relatives and other friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 12:00 noon Lewis Chapel Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Lincoln Memorial Gardens.
