Mr. Eddie Lewis Traylor

Mr. Eddie Lewis Traylor was born on February 23, l951, to the late Mrs. Susie Mae Traylor and the late Mr. Eddie Lewis Pennyman, Sr. in Thomaston, Upson County, Georgia. He was more affectionately known as Eddie Lewis Pennyman Jr. by his family and friends. At an early age, he joined the Logtown Bethel Church. He was educated in the public school of Upson County and attended Drake High School.

During his early manhood, he was employed by Thomaston Mills. He later found employment with Reddick Construction Company and lastly at Robert E. Lee High School. He was the father of four children, a grandfather and a great-grandfather.

During his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing, grilling, playing spades, spending time with his family and hanging out with his friends.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Martha Ray Traylor and Flora Pennyman Edmondson and one brother, Mr. Calvin Dixon. On Friday, January 3, 2025, the Lord called his name. He answered the call and his spirit returned to the father.

He is survived by four children, Mrs. Jenifer (David) Rivers of Thomaston, GA, Mr. Donald Grantling of Atlanta, GA, Mr. Charlie Geiger and Ms. Sherell Raines both of Thomaston, GA; fifteen grand-children and ten great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Luegene (George) Howell of Atlanta, GA, Mrs. Mashanda Wyche of Thomaston, GA, Ms. Luetha Pennyman of Texas and Mrs. Dianah Taylor of Dayton, OH; brothers include, Mr. Charlie Traylor of Mableton, GA, Mr. Randy Traylor of Atlanta, GA, Mr. Robert Pennyman of Dayton, OH and several other brothers in Connecticut; one aunt, Mrs. Cleona Walker of Thomaston, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
