Ms. Jacqueline Tillman peacefully entered a new place called heaven on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at home surrounded by the love of her family. She was born August 7, 1961, in Bennettsville, SC, she was the cherished daughter of Henrietta Jackson and the late Joe Gibson., leaving behind a legacy of love and inspiration.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Lela Mae and Leroy Tillman, and her fathers, Gilbert Jackson Sr. and Joe Gibson, and a special friend, Martha Malloy.

Affectionately known as Jackie by her family and friends, she was raised in High Point, NC, where she attended and graduated from High Point Central High School. Jackie loved attending church and was an active member of Pearson Memorial AME Church. She served in various roles, including secretary of the choir, secretary of Sunday School, president of the missionary, and secretary of Pastor Aid, and she also worked with the Finance Department. Through her unwavering devotion and service, Jackie left a lasting impact on her church, community, and those who knew her.

Jackie was an amazing mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt, and great friend. Her loving and warm spirit was evident when she entered the room. She demonstrated her deep love for her family through the nurturing spirit she carried in her heart. Jackie always ensured that everything around the house was taken care of, from cooking to cleaning, before she allowed herself to relax. That clearly reflects how much she prioritized others over herself.

She will greatly be missed by her mother, Mrs. Henrietta T. Jackson; her daughters, Aiska Tillman and Jacole Tillman; her son, Edmond (Leshaunte) Tillman; ten sisters, Donna Jackson, Pamela (Harold) Bullock, Flora Miles, Tracy Glasgow, Kamaria Roberts, Rene Gibson, Ann Marie Gibson, Joann Rhem, Carolyn Gibson, and Lesha Gibson; four brothers, Gilbert (Lakisha) Jackson, Danny Robinson, Joseph Gibson, and John D. Gibson; five grandchildren, Dynasia, Willis, Atiya, Elise, and Deuce; four great-grandchildren, Kylee, Prince, Kehlani, and Romari; special grandchildren, Tasiah and Stephon and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service will be held Friday, January 17,2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 12:30 p.m. until 1:00 p.m.
