Dr. Maurice Antonio Brown 52, of Stockbridge GA entered into eternal rest on Monday January 6, 2025.

Funeral Services for Dr. Maurice Antonio Brown 52, of Stockbridge GA will be held Saturday January 18, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at the Dooly K-8 Gymnasium, Pinehurst GA. Interment in the Evergreen Cemetery Unadilla GA.

Dr. Maurice Antonio Brown passed away unexpectedly January 6, 2025. The family and others who loved him deeply are saddened by his sudden death. Maurice was born on June 13th, 1972 in Vienna, Georgia to the parentage of Mr. Walter Brown and Ms. Cordelia Manning Brown. At an early age, he became a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church, Unadilla Georgia where he was baptized and sang in the choir.

Maurice was a graduate of Dooly County High School, Class of 1990. During his time there, he represented the school as a star basketball player. After high school, he continued his education at the University of Georgia and earned an advanced degree from Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry. He was a member of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Dr. Brown had a thriving dental career in the Atlanta area.

Maurice will be missed and remembered by the many lives he touched. He loved graciously and gave generously. He truly knew that it was more blessed to give than to receive. His unselfish generosity knew no bounds. Often, he neglected his needs for the needs and well-being of his family and friends. We will always love and miss you, Maurice.

Dr. Brown leaves to cherish his memory: a devoted mother, Cordelia Brown and father, Walter (Laodicea) Brown; Children: Monae Brown and Paizley Colbert of Atlanta, Georgia; Siblings: Jamon Coleman, Tricinda (Ron)Waites, Catrecia Towns, Fallon (Martice) Barron, Shaun (Ashley) Brown; Grandson: Evan Samuels; God Sister: Shika Taylor; Devoted friends: Gerald Black, Alvin Jones, and Allereria Brown; a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
