Virginia Ingram

Virginia “Vicky” Cole Ingram was called home on November 26, 2024, at her home in Augusta, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born September 6, 1951, in Eatonton, Georgia, to the parentage of the late Sam Cole, Jr. and Margaret C. Cole.

Vicky attended school at Butler Baker and graduated in 1970. After graduation, she worked at Enterprise Aluminum Factory; then she worked at the Defense Language Institute in California, and finally, she worked as the Deputy Tax Commissioner in Putnam County for 26 years. She was sincerely loved by all she served at the tag office.

She was preceded in death by four sisters, Helen Cole, Irene Cole, Margaret Marie Cole, and Maxine Cole; three brothers, Herman Cole, Raymond Cole, and Glenwood Cole; two stepbrothers, Steve Jewell and John Bailey and stepsister, Betty Paschel.

She leaves to mourn: one daughter, Nikita G. Cole, and one granddaughter Taurus V. Bromell; one God-daughter Syreeka White; three sisters Brenda Hudson, Barbara Evans, and Frances Cole; one stepsister, Tracy Jewell Bishop; three stepbrothers, Ernest Bailey, Robert Jewell, and Eric Jewell; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Greater High Hope Christian Center, 110 Hogan Boulevard, Eatonton, Georgia 31024, Bishop Dexter Lamar, pastor, will officiate and present her eulogy. Burial will follow in Eastside Eatonton City Cemetery.
