Obituary For Evangio “Big Red” Presley

Funeral service for Evangio Presley, 70, of Opelika, AL, will be at 12:00 noon, Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Flat Rock Missionary Baptist Church, 4420 Oak Bowery Road, Opelika, AL, 36801with interment in the church cemetery, Reverend L.W. Myers, Jr. will officiate.

Mr. Presley, who passed away Sunday, November 17, 2024 at the Tallassee Health Care Center in Tallassee, Alabama, was born January 6, 1954, in Chambers County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Friday, November 22, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Mr. Presley will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory: wife, Mae Ella Presley of Opelika, AL; three children, Christine (James) Moore of Lafayette, AL, Everett (Twyla) Presley and Bridget (Reginald) Robinson both of Opelika, AL; five grandchildren, Jarell Presley, Marrell Holland, Markeal Presley, Harmony Presley all of Opelika, AL and Tamara Presley of Lafayette, AL; three great-grandchildren, Zyquavion Benton, King Presley and Nova Holland; four sisters, Mattie Bell Echols of Camp Hill, AL, Ruby Hughley, Nanette Ware and Christine Smith all of Lafayette, AL; two brothers, Roger (Vanessa) Presley of Opelika, AL and Lindzey Brooks of Waverly, AL; one sister-in-law, Johnnie Mae Sutton of Lafayette, AL; two brothers-in-law, Marcus Calloway of Opelika, AL and Stanley Stevenson of Lanett, AL; one aunt, Bernice Malone of Mobile, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family of the late Mr. Evangio “Big Red” Presley extends heartfelt gratitude for the kindness, prayers, cards, calls, flowers, and comforting words shared with us during our time of loss. May God bless each of you.
