Obituary For Phyllis Scott-Clark

Phyllis Gale HOMER Scott-Clark, 67, Retired United States Navy Petty Officer, Mililani, Hawaii; native of Memphis TN; and proud Southside High School Scrapper, 1974, rested from earthly labor Sunday, October 13, 2024. She leaves a devoted husband, Alfred Clark, Sr. of Mililani, HI; five sons: Alfred Clark, Jr. (Shae)of Waco, TX; Thurman Scott (Nichole), Stephen Scott (Daniesha), Phillip Scott (Ashley ), and Xavier Clark, all of Mililani, HI; two daughters: Mesha Rhynes of Mayville, WI, and TruVela Rhynes of Qatar; seven grandchildren; one sister, Willie Ruth Thomas McGhee (Willie "Mac") of Memphis; and one brother, Rev. Anthony Thomas of Hendersonville, TN; goddaughter, Katrina Livingston, also of Memphis; and a mother-in-law , Loretta Burnett of Pine Bluff, AR. Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie "Chuck" Edward Homer, Lucille Gales Homer (Coffee); siblings, Doris Thomas Hill and Clifton "Bo Jack" Thomas; stepfather, Ishmeal Stephen Coffee; maternal grandparents, Albert Gales, Sr. and Armenthry Davis Gales; father-in-law, Clarence Burnett. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, extended family and friends also join in earthly loss of Phyllis Gale HOMER Scott-Clark.

The family will receive friends for a Celebration of Life service Friday, Nov 1, 2024 11:00a.m. held at Morning View Baptist Church 1626 Carnegie St., Memphis, TN 38106.

Internment will be in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, Memphis, TN 38125.
