Mr. Bob Allen Jackson was born in Madison, Florida on December 29, 1937 to the union of Allen Jackson and Ella Jackson.
Born and raised in Clyattville, Bob dedicated his life to his family and community. Mr. Jackson was a member of St. Phillips Jones Community Bible Church where he served faithfully. He attended the Lowndes County School System before moving with his family to Miami, Florida. After a fulfilling career managing and owning Bob Jackson Lawn Service and Jackson’s Soul Food in Miami, Florida, he retired and returned to his hometown to enjoy his golden years with his wife surrounded by loved ones. Bob will be remembered for his joy of racing cars, fondness of fishing, and his unwavering love for his family
Mr. Jackson passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 26, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Ella Jackson; six sisters Nancy Burns, Josephine Mohead, Violan Sanders, Louella Trueblood, Helen Moore, Annie McLeod, one brother LC Jackson, and one son Bobbylee Jackson.
Bob leaves to cherish his memories: his adoring wife Gladys Jackson, a loving sister Frances Gillum of Valdosta, Georgia, two brother Jimmy Jackson of Ocala, Florida and George Jackson of Miami, Florida, five daughters, Tangela Adams of Valdosta, Georgia, Brenda Jackson of Miami, Florida, Mamie (Emrol) Dyer of Miami, Florida, Priscilla Jackson of Valdosta, Georgia, Onerine (Eddie) Jackson of Valdosta, Georgia; five sons, Tom Jackson of Valdosta, Georgia, Greg Jackson of Valdosta, Georgia, Willie Jackson of Valdosta, Georgia, Terry Jackson of Valdosta, Georgia, Tyrone Jackson of Valdosta, Georgia; 41 grandchildren, 62 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 9 at 11:00 A. M. at St. Phillips Jones Community Bible Church Rev. A. D. Bivins, Pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
