Michel Hayes, 60, died Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Prisma Health Richland Hospital, Columbia, SC. He was born April 11, 1964, in Manning, SC. A son of the late James J. and Lucy Witherspoon Hayes.

Public viewing will be held 12:00 Noon til 4:00 PM Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Hayes F. Samuels, Sr. Memorial Chapel, Manning, SC.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Sunday, October 13, 2024 at Hayes F. Samuels Sr. Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in the St. James Baptist Church Cemetery, Greeleyville, SC.

Remembering... My fondest memory of Mike is the time he drove us "Teen" to the movies one Sunday. We ate so much popcorn and laughed all the way home. These and other memories will stay with me forever. May the family cherish their beautiful memories until we see him again. Love, Ada.

I fondly remember Michel as a great student who was always serious about his schoolwork but had a mischievous side. He and I shared lots of good conversations and laughs.
