Homer B. Williams, 85, passed on Sunday, September 22, 2024 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral sevice will be held at 2:00 p.m. EST on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church located at 4503 US HWY 80 in Crawford, AL with Pastor Christopher M. Davis, officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Public viewing is 2:00-5:00 p.m. EST on Friday, September 27, 2024.
Most knew him as “B.Boy” or “Hard Rockin’ Homer”!
He will be remembered by his smile, his jokes, as a hard-working Husband, Father, and G-Daddy who loved his family. A great small engine mechanic, a wonderful helpful neighbor and friend. He was employed at Uniroyal Goodrich until he retired in 1995.
Homer dedicated his life to Christ at an early age and rededicated his life to Christ at the age of 69 and became a member of Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Charlie B. Bryant, Jr.

His wife of 45 years, Rosie Williams of Salem, AL.; three daughters, Sherlene Mercer of Phenix City, AL.; Tomika (Gregory) Robinson of Salem, AL; LaTonya (Adrian) Maddox of Salem, AL; one sister, Lena Pearl McKinnon of Inglewood, CA; one sister-in-law, Annie Ruth Scott of Salem, AL; seven grandchildren, April, Cyrstal, Elizabeth, Shaquanda, Essienee, Isaiah, and A.J., 11 great-grand children,Shakeria, Mytavia, Kentray, Treyvon, Makayla, Janiya, Christian, Jeremiah, Kyngston, Ja’Kaiden, and Jamari; four great-great grandchildren, Ayden, Damari, Carmen, and Alaiya; two special nephews, Eddie (Serlester) Williams of Opelika, AL; Jeffery Fuller Of Atlanta, GA; a special niece ,Cathy (Nathan) Williams Of Smith Station, AL; an honorary daughter, LaKeshia Maddox of Opelika, AL;an honorary son, Harry Willaims of Columbus, GA, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
