Obituary For Mr. Jailyn Ernest Maliek Rivers

With humbled hearts, we announce the transition of Mr. Jailyn Rivers, 24, of Walterboro, South Carolina who departed from the shores of time on Saturday, August 31, 2024. A beloved husband, son, grandson, brother, uncle and so much more; he was a genuine lovable person. Though his passing leaves a void in our hearts, we are comforted by the joy of life and love that he shared with each and everyone.

The Family will continue to receive guests:

160 Boone St. Walterboro. SC 29488 Between the hours of 12 Noon - 7:00 P.M.

There will be a public visitation held on Friday: September 20, 2024; 3:00 - 6:00 P.M., at Faith-Walterboro, 858 Bells Hwy. Walterboro, SC. The family is requesting NO PHOTOS to be taken and to please wear a facial covering.

A celebration of life service will conclude on Saturday: September 21 @ 11A.M. also in the edifice of Faith-Walterboro, 858 Bells Hwy. Walterboro, SC. Pastor Daryl Hunt, Host Pastor, Pastor Angela Ford Nelson, Eulogist. Services will be live streamed, via Young Funeral Home Facebook page.

Interment and Final prayers will immediately follow in the Cooks Hill Cemetery of Walterboro, SC.

Jai o Jai God,I thank you for thinking about me when you gave our family Jai.He brought Candy, Ladon, Ernest and his siblings so much joy.He had a quiet spirit that radiates when he smiles and he made us listen to him because he was soft spoken,at least around me. Jailyn had to have been around 8 or 9 years old when I became his girlfriend at Azalea Drive COC... Mind you I was in my mid 40's. He made sure I and all the other little boys knew he was my boyfriend😂 I remember My then husband asked Jailyn if he liked his wife and Jailyn did not hesitate to tell him YES... we laughed about it so much.. All he could do was tell Jailyn that he better be sure to have his money and my lil boyfriend let him know he had his money... I Loved Jailyn from a little boy and was shocked to hear of his passing. Ladon, Matthew and the rest of the family, I pray that the Lord will bring you Comfort and peace during this time. Weeping may endure, but JOY comes in the morning. May you be forever blessed and constantly reminded of the joy and smile Jailyn brought to so many. Baby boyfriend get your rest🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 We love you but God loves you BEST! Jailyn was a kind, sweet, and mannerable young man. I remember when he was playing basketball for the Carolina Cagers. He was very athletic. My best friend and I would travel along with them everywhere they had a game. Jailyn gave me the nickname "Grandma". While traveling with Carolina Cagers, Jailyn ensured no dull moments!!! Whenever he asked for something, it was hard to say no. Those eyes and baby smile win every time!!! My prayers go out to his family. S.I.P. Mr. Jailyn Ernest Rivers.
