Louise Johnson was my Home Economics Teacher at Richard Carroll HS. She taught me how to cook, sew, budget and manage a household. I'm so sorry my words of sympathy are late; I didn't know she had passed away. I had several telephone conversations with her in recent years. It was always a joy to talk to her. She was still "sharp" and feisty. She talked about how her children didn't want her to drive but she didn't stop driving. She was a beautiful person and I know her family will continue to miss her.

My condolences to the Johnson n Middleton family. When my mom passed she said you still have a mom, and truly she was. She meant so much to us. Rather she was picking up my kids for Sunday School or picking me up to go visit members and friends. On the way home we had to stop and get some ice cream from Jamison Pharmacy. May the life she lived be remembered thru so many.Rest on Mother J. Sandra,Brenda,Glenda and Dee, your mom was a bright light shining so beautiful, with so much Class, Grace and Dignity. It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to my dear cousin and beloved Mother of the Church, Mama Johnson. Your life was a testament to faith, love, and service. You embodied grace, strength, and wisdom, always standing as a beacon of hope and light for all who were blessed to know you. Thank you for everything, Mama Jay. You knew me since I was born, and even though I can't remember it, I knew you then too. As a little girl, I always saw you and thought of you as the beautiful, kind nurse who would come to visit my Great Grandparents at their house right next to the Church. I would see you on Sundays, and you'd visit with Great Grandma Louise Johnson and Grand Daddy Jerry. You would sit, listen to me play the piano, and tell me, "Good job!" Those little words meant so much to me. From there, you sat with me on the back side steps of the Church and talked with me when I was seven, helping me understand and prepare for Baptism. You've always been in my life, always my Mama Johnson. When I found out we were family, it made everything even more special—turns out, you knew the whole time! When I thought you were a nurse, you were a missionary visiting your Uncle Jerry and Aunt Louise. Isn't that something? Look at God! He is so awesome and amazing, and I thank Him for putting you in my life for all these 43 years. No matter what, you never forgot me. We always shared our jokes and laughter, and I know deep in my heart I was special to you, just as you were to me. God brought us together early for a reason, and I am so grateful. Your unwavering dedication to your family, the church, and your community touched so many lives. You weren't just a pillar in the church; you were a guiding light, offering comfort, wisdom, and love to all who sought it. Your prayers uplifted us, your wisdom inspired us, and your love strengthened us. Now, as you rest, I'll carry the memories, the lessons, and the love you shared with me forever. Thank you, Mama Jay—thank you, Cousin Louise. Enjoy your mansion in the sky. Please tell everyone I said hello, especially Daddy Jerry and Great Grandma Louise. I love you and miss you already, but I'll let you go so you can catch up with everyone. Rest in power and peace, dear Mama Johnson. Until we meet again. With all my love, Your One in a Million, Deidre Stokes
