Obituary For Osborne Ballord Jr

Mr. Osborne Ballard, Jr. was born on July 21, 1960, in Buffalo, NY to the late Mrs. Mary Douglas Ballard and the late Mr. Osborne Ballard, Sr. He was educated in the public school in New York. After high school, he joined the United States Army.

After returning home, he became a skilled laborer as a painter. He eventually became a self-employed contractor. He was the father of three children.

He met Ms. Jacqueline Bragg and on March 20, 2009, they were married and began their life together. In addition to his three children, he gained four bonus children. He possessed a caring heart and a caring spirit for others. During his leisure time, he enjoyed painting, watching television and dancing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Christopher Ballard and one sister, Odessa Ballard. On Thursday, August 29, 2024, the Lord summoned his spirit home to rest. He peacefully closed his eyes and went back to his Heavenly Father.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jacqueline Bragg of Thomaston, GA; three children, Tasha Ballard, Amanda Ballard and Tameka Ballard; four stepchildren, Tashana Bragg, Tommy Bragg and Shaquanda Bragg all of Miami, FL and Shakenna Bragg of Thomaston, GA; four sisters, Ms. Charles Etta, Mrs. Elizabeth Freeman, Ms. Otto Mae Freeman and Ms. Mary Ballard of Buffalo, NY; sisters and brothers-in-law include, Ms. Sandra Mathis of Manchester, GA, Ms. Jada Preston of Warm Spring, GA, Mr. Darif (Trina) Prater of Lithonia, GA and Mr. Michael Jones of NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
