Roy Brown was born on April 17, 1945, in Peach County,
Georgia. He was born to the parentage of Elmer Clark, Sr.
and Lizzie Mae Brown. He transitioned on August 23,
2024, at his home in Warner Robins, GA.
Roy grew up in Houston County, GA and attended the
Houston County School System. He attended Fort Valley
State College and received a bachelor's degree in
Economics. He continued his education by receiving two
master degrees: one in Middle Grades Education and one
in Guidance and Counseling.
Roy worked at Robins Air Base as a supervisor for thirtysix
years. After retiring, he became a middle school
teacher. Roy enjoyed sports and attending basketball and
football games. He also enjoyed coaching games at the
recreation center.
He was a member of Unionville Missionary Baptist
Church in Macon, GA. He enjoyed attending church.
Roy is preceded in death by his parents: Elmer Clark, Sr.
and Lizzie Mae Brown; siblings: Rufus Brown, Willie
Frank Brown, Elmer Clark Jr., Alice Clark, Gloria Clark,
Joseph Clark, Dorothy Clark, and Peggy Clark.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his sons: Derrick Brown
(Yolanda) and Rodney Brown (Lecretia); grandsons:
Jeremiah Brown and Adaision Brown; his brother, Henry
Lee Clark; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other
relatives and friends.
