Obituary For Ezbon Ozias Risper

Mr. Ezbon Ozias Risper (AKA: "EZ") was born October 7, 1993, in youngest of three boys. Thomaston, Georgia, to Sheila and Edward Risper. He was the youngest of three boys.

Ezbon attended New Life Church in Thomaston, Georgia, where he accepted Jesus as his personal Savior. At his passing, he was attending Macedonia Christian Ministries in Columbus, GA.

He graduated from Upson-Lee High School in Thomaston, Georgia, in 2012. After graduating high school, Ezbon continued his academic journey, studying at Columbus State University and Southern New Hampshire University. His dedication and hard work were also evident in his professional life, where he was employed by the Hyundai Glovis car dealership in West Point, Georgia.

Sports were a significant part of Ezbon's life. He played high school football and recreational soccer, baseball, basketball, and football. He enjoyed writing and recording music, cooking, playing basketball and attending family functions. His love for his family was evident in every interaction and he cherished the time spent with them. He was a huge Los Angeles Lakers fan and Kobe Bryant was his favorite player; most of all, he loved being a dad, playing and singing with his son, Ezra.

Ezbon had a quiet spirit and a tender heart toward others, with the capacity to think deeply and talk little. When he spoke, his words were priceless; when he entered a room, his captivating smile could warm even the coldest heart. To know Ezbon was to love him.

His grandparents, the late Mr. Johnny Pernell Jones, Mrs. Willie Lee Mathis-Jones and Mrs. Mary Kate Brown-Risper, preceded him in death. On Friday, August 23, 2024, the Lord summoned his spirit to eternal rest. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memories his son Ezra O'Shea Risper; his girlfriend Krystal Barea of Midland, Georgia; his mother Sheila Jones-Risper of Midland, Georgia; his father and stepmother, Edward O'Neal and Modestine Risper of Macon, Georgia, his oldest brother Eben Onesimus Risper of McDonough, Georgia, his "Lil-Big" brother, Elon Oren Risper of Marietta, Georgia, his grandfather Mr. Shedwrich Risper of Thomaston, Georgia; one uncle Mr. Johnny Pernell Jones Jr. of Woodbridge, Virginia; aunts include, Evangelist Linda Thompson of Yatesville, Georgia, Minister Dr. Marye Smith (Godmother) of Barnesville, Georgia, Ms. Patricia Jones Fuller of Dale City, Virginia, Mrs. Cynthia (Pastor Patrick) Allen of Thomaston, Georgia, Ms. Gertha June Jones of Thomaston, Georgia and Min.
