Obituary For Mr. George Albert Williams, Jr.

Mr. George A. Williams, Jr., 76, of Gadsden, passed away on August 28, 2024. He is survived by his loving family. We ask that you keep this family in your hearts and prayers during their time of bereavement.

Mr. George A. Williams was born on June 4,1948 to the late George A. Williams Sr. and Eldora Pearson Williams; Wife, the late Betty Moore Williams.

Mr. George Williams Jr. attended Carver High School.

He was joined in Holy Matrimony to Mrs. Betty Moore Williams.

He joined the United States Army and served faithfully for 25 years before retiring. While serving he toured Vietnam for 3 tours. After coming home he went to work for a clean up crew and was later hired by Bynum Anniston Army Depot and he worked for 20 years before retiring.

He was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Mrs. Betty Moore Williams.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

He leaves to cherish his memories to: His daughter, Sabrena Williams Hill of Gadsden, AL; Son, George Williams III of Gadsden, AL; Sisters, Ella Mae Glover of Macon, GA, Vivian Bush of Atlanta, GA. Nyoka Williams Of Gadsden, AL, Glenn (Kimberly) Williams of Gadsden, AL, Cynthia Sharp of Rockford, Ill, Pamela Williams of Gadsden, AL, and Cathy (Minister Kevin) Williams of Clarksville, TN and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and an honorary family friend, Kimberly Williams Crawford of Atlanta, GA and Juanita Orr of Gadsden, AL.

Public viewing will be Thursday, September 5, 2024 from 12noon-5pm.

Funeral services will be Friday, September 6, 2024 here at West Gadsden Funeral Home (Betty D. Robinson Chapel at 1:00pm.

Inurnment: Lincoln Hill Memorial Gardens
