Obituary For Reginald Covington

Reginald Scott Covington, 60, of Denver, North Carolina. He was born in Lincoln County, North Carolina on July 9, 1964 to the late James Leonard Covington and Pauline Wingate Covington. He transitioned peacefully in his home on Sunday, August 18, 2024. Scott was a 1983 graduate from East Lincoln High School. He received a Bachelor’s Degree from Campbell University in Finance. He was the owner of Covington Financial Services.

He was a member of Tucker’s Grove Church where he served as a member of the United Methodist Men and former Treasurer. He was also a Trustee at Tucker’s Grove Campground. He was formerly Second Vice Chair of the Lincoln County Democratic Party and presently served as Denver West Precinct Chair.

Scott had a passion for playing golf.

Funeral Service is Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Tucker’s Grove Family Life Center with burial to follow at Tucker’s Grove Church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. There will be a public viewing on Friday at the Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Scott and I were classmates at East Lincoln. Even though we did not see one another alot after high-school, when we met we immediately reunited. Rest in heaven Scott. I pray peace to the family and friends.
