Funeral service for Flora Ross, 58, of Dadeville, AL, will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at Greater Peace Missionary Baptist Church, 650 Jeter Avenue, Opelika, AL, 36801 with interment at 3:00 p.m. at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 333 Alabama Highway 223, Banks, AL, 36005, Reverend Clifford E. Jones will officiate.

Mrs. Ross, who passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama, was born June 1, 1966, in Pike County, Alabama.

There will be no public viewing.

Mrs. Ross will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories; a loving and devoted husband, Joe L. Ross of Opelika, AL; a beloved fur baby, Genguis; mother, Annie Mae Hendricks of Troy, AL; eight siblings, Cassandra (Henry) Williams of Troy, AL, Diana Canty of Montgomery, AL, Samuel Hendricks of Copperas Cove, TX, Darlene (James) Smith of Navarre, FL, Mattie Pearl (Clarence) Steen of Montgomery, AL, James Earl Hendrick of Fulton County, GA, Octavia Hendrick and Flondia Hendricks both Montgomery, AL; two uncles, Shelby Crawford of Troy, AL and Walter “Buddy” Crawford, Thomason, GA; a brother-in-law, Rev. Dr. James D. Ross II of Hyde Park, MA; a sister-in-law, Tita Nalani (Jeffrey) Dickinson, Arlington, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
