It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Rebecca Governor Richardson

Rebecca Governor Richardson, 87, of Tallahassee passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024. Funeral services will be 11 AM, Friday, August 23, 2024 at Friendship AME Church with burial at Barber Cemetery in Havana, FL. Viewing will be 1pm-6pm , Thursday, August 22 at Strong & Jones Funeral Home.

Survivors include her sisters, Bertha G. Ross and Alice M. Pugh; her son, Timothy Richardson (Patrice); five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Her husband, Augusta Richardson; her parents, Bert and Martha Governor; her brother, Samuel Governor, Sr.; and her son, Vernon Richardson all preceded her in death.
