Mr. Rufus Sloans-Gulley affectionately known as “Rooster” was one of the great seven children born to Dan and Annie Mae Gulley on October 28, 1946, in Freemanville, Alabama
He was employed with Freemanville Water System for many years. Rufus was a faithful member of Deliverance Ministry of Jesus Christ located in Atmore AL. He loved his family, wrestling, being outside on his lawnmower, and his grandchildren.
At the age 77 Rufus transitioned from time to eternity on July 14, 2024, at USA Hospital in Mobile AL. He is preceded in death by his parents Annie Mae and Dan Gulley, sister, Caroline Gulley, brothers, Ricky Gulley and Amos Sloan.
Those who will forever cherish his loving and precious memories: His wife Gwendolyn Armstrong, his children: Gary(Kimberly) Hall, Tammy(Frank) Taylor, Mitchell (Shebray) Hall and Danielle Etheridge all of Atmore AL, sister: Josie (John) Jacobs of Anniston AL, brothers: Elvin (Barbara) Gulley of Atmore AL and Tyrone(Vonda) Gulley of Boston MA; one aunt, Lois Dailey of Boston, MA along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends
