Yolonda Charmaine Williams

07/24/1974 - 08/02/2024

Yolonda was born July 24,1974 to James C. Walker, Jr and Annette L. Anderson. Yolonda was a woman full of beauty and a bright life to the world. Every room she stepped in she left an impact. Her beautiful soul and infectious spirit illuminated and shined brightly at the sun. Although Yolonda dealt with her own life’s burdens, she made it a mission to help as many people as possible. Her life was a testament in her resolve to show love to the needy, broken and abused. Yolonda’s career choices spoke to that point. She was a case worker, community advocate and a doula, aiding in childbirth. She made it a point to “stay on point.” Yolonda’s hair, nails, makeup were always top notch. Her gorgeous smile, jazzy style and signature walk will never be duplicated. She loved her family fiercely, but she was a mother above all else. Her children were the absolute lights of her life. There was no length she would not go through to make sure she provided for them. Yolonda was also a beast in the kitchen. Family and friends often dropped by with hungry bellies ready to be filled. They often walked away with takeaway containers full of what she called “deliciousness.” Yolonda was a staple in the community. Every year the community beamed with pride as they stopped by her home for the Annual Halloween Celebration. “Lil City, Big Swag.” She and community friends provided candy, hot chocolate, chicken soup and a variety of treats for the happy kids in their fun costumes. Yolonda’s presence will be missed far and wide. Yolonda loved writing poetry, raising her cats, eating crabs and enjoying times with the family.
