Mr. James Lee “Skunion” Rankin, Sr., 74, of Maiden, North Carolina transitioned on Thursday, August 1, 2024 in Cleveland County, North Carolina.

He was born in Rowan County, North Carolina on January 14, 1950 to the late J.T. McNeely and Dorothy Rankin McNeely.

James was a member of Victory Christian Center.He was the owner of B & J Truck Hauling Company.

Funeral service is Friday, August 9, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Living Word in Maiden, NC with burial to follow in Maiden Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Living Word one hour prior to the service.
