The Battle of Life is Over and A Victorius Life Begins

Warren Russell Brown of the late Russell and Dorothy Brown was born in Miami, Florida, on October 18, 1953, one of 14 siblings. He was raised and instilled with a deep love for family. Surrounded by his loving family, he departed this life on Friday, July 26th, 2024 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, N.C.

Warren’s unwavering commitment to learning led him to Miami Dade County Public Schools where he graduated from Miami Northwestern Senior High. A testament to his dedication to personal growth, Warren began his transformative journey and pursued the Job Corps Program. During his time in Miami, three children were born, Warren Brown Jr, Ashandre Fisher, and Justin Brown.

He united in matrimony to Melba Williams on March 25, 1998, after relocating to North Carolina with his son Justin Brown. They were married 26 years until his death.

Professing his love for the Lord, Warren was a member of Persimmon Grove AME Church for several years, serving as a trustee during his tenure.

Continuing his transformation, in 1990, Warren was employed with Green For Life Environmental Inc. (GFL). He was a faithful, hard-working employee for 34 years until his health declined.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Leila Brown, three brothers: Jonnie, Ronnie, and Ted Brown.

He leaves to cherish his memory; a loving wife, Melba Brown of the home, sons: Warren Brown, Jr. (Miami, Fla.), Justin Brown (Greensboro, NC), daughter, Ashandre Fisher (Port St. Lucia, Fla.), grandchildren: Aniya, Amaree, Aiden, Aneisha (all of Port St. Lucia, Fla.) Zena and Justin Jr. (Greensboro, NC), Siblings: Barbara (Jimmy), Charlotte (James), Celeste (Gary) all of Miami, Fla. Allen (Beverly) Covington, Ga., Kevin (Pamela) Covington, Ga., Wayne, Antonio, Maurice, all of Miami, Fla., Shawn (Kim) Atlanta, Ga., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral will be held Sunday, August 4, 2024 2pm Cassie Coote-Brown Memorial Chapel at Perry J. Brown Funeral Home 909 East Market Street Greensboro, North Carolina. 1:30pm Visitation.
