Nyesha Robinson, 24, passed July 27, 2024 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. EST, Thursday, August 8, 2024 at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, Columbus, GA with Rev. Jimmy Williams, pastor. Interment will follow in Community Cemetery, Phenix City, AL. Visitation is Wednesday, August 7, 2024 from 12:00-5:00p.m. EST.
Nyesha Naqeisha Robinson was born April 26, 2000 in Phenix City, Alabama to Eric Robinson Sr. and Jackie Stratton
At a very early age, she joined Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in Columbus, Georgia. Nyesha “Red” Robinson loved to sing and had a beautiful voice which she didn’t mind displaying as a member of Tabernacle’s youth choir. She was employed with Rutledge State Prison in Columbus, Georgia. She was humorous, caring, God fearing, and never left a room before saying “I love you”.
Nyesha is preceded in death by her sister Nadia Robinson and her son, Tymere Mathews. She leaves to cherish her memories; a daughter, Ivy Reign Mathews, a fiance, Tiyez Mathews, her parents, Jackie Stratton (Terrance) and Eric Robinson Sr., all of Phenix City, AL; a sister Nasia Robinson; two brothers; Eric Robinson Jr. and Travontae Johnson; maternal grandparents; Pastor Jimmy and Gloria Williams; paternal grandparents; Otis and Shirley Vaughn, all of Phenix City, AL; grandparents; Cathy Tate of Phenix City, AL and Greg Stratton (Clara) of Lynchburg, VA; three nieces; India, Laurynn, and Kinslee; two special friends; Ajayissia Johnson and K’Breanna Rushin; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, church family, and many friends.
