Obituary For Leonard G. Dunston

Leonard G. Dunston a native of the Riverdale Community of New Bern passed July 20, 2024 in Durham, North Carolina.

His North Carolina Celebration of Life Service is 6:00 PM, Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at the Hayti Heritage Center 804 Old Fayetteville St., Durham, NC 27701.

His New York Celebration of Life Service is 1:00 PM, Saturday, August 3, 2024 at the Theodore D. Young Community Center 32 Manhattan Ave. White Plains, NY 10607.

He is survived by his daughter, Kioka Dunston, Durham. NC; son, Kwame Malik Dunston, Atlanta, GA; granddaughter, Nzingha Dunston, Atlanta, GA; sister-in-law, Helen Sapp Taylor, Petersburg, VA; daughter-in-aw, Rachel Ayana Dunston cousins, Alfreda Henderson, Tammy Satchell and Jean Dunlap; other cousins and beloved friends.

The Black Family Summit was established in 2005, under the leadership of Founder Elder Griot, Baba Leonard G. Dunston and associates.
