Obituary For Da'Maria' Ken'Darrious Gilmore

Da’ Maria' Ken'Darrious Gilmore, born July 13, 2005, to Billy and Kimberly (Parker) Gilmore, was the light of everyone's life. Everyone that knew him knew he was an amazing human being that was loved and cherished by many. “Dee” as he was lovingly called passed away at Jefferson Hospital on July 20, 2024.

Public viewing will be held Saturday, July 27, 2024, from 3:00-6:00 P.M. at Davis Funeral Home, located at 725 Beech Street, Louisville, GA. Dee's Homegoing Celebration will be Sunday, July 28, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Glascock County Consolidated School Gymnastics, located at 1230 Panther Way Gibson, GA. Interment will be immediately afterward at Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 717 School Circle, Gibson, GA.

He graduated from Glascock County Consolidated School in May 2023, where he lettered in three different sports. Although he played for the local high school’s football, basketball, and baseball teams; his love for sports started in the recreational league. He played in many rec and Dixie Youth games and tournaments. He went from playing in the 2018 Dixie Youth World Series to being a part of the Glascock County Consolidated School’s Region Champions team his final year of high school. He even played in baseball tournaments on the weekends.

In addition to playing sports he loved to help others because he was so kind-hearted and hard-working. Dee was employed at Thiele Kaolin as a Forklift Operator and Bagger.. When he was not working , Dee would either be coon, duck, or deer hunting and fishing.; all of which he loved dearly. He also made time for family and friends. But of all things, he found time for he was sure to find time for the Lord. He was reared in a loving home and from that, he found the love for God. In February of 2024, he was baptized at his church home, Believers Baptist Church.

With his big pretty smile, Dee lit up a room. A good time was guaranteed to be had when he was around. Everyday or every hour was a new adventure when he was involved. Oh, the memories!

Dee is preceded in death by his brother, Marquez Walker.

Dee is survived by his parents, Billy and Kimberly Gilmore; sisters, Patrice Gilmore, Latrice Gilmore, Tenika Batts, Shay Gilmore, and Samira Gilmore; brothers, Jaylin Gilmore, Marcus Hill and Billy Gilmore; grandmothers, Marsha Parker, Euline Huntley; grandfather, Ricky Gordon; great- grandmothers, Lois Gordon and Frances Tennyson; aunts, Lindsey Wells (Maurice Oliphant), Kelly Parker, Sharlesa Gordon, Linda Lynch, Theresa Johnson, Sharon Thomas, and Nicole Gilmore; uncles, Eric Parker, Jerome (Tarsha) Gilmore, Kendrick Gilmore, Scott Gilmore, Jerry Gilmore, Shatony Tucker, and Jermaine Gilmore. Dee also leaves his great uncles, Johnny (Tasha) Gilmore, JB Gilmore, Eddie Ray (Mamie) Gilmore, Otis (Geraldine) Gilmore, Bruce Gordon, Jerry Parker, Randy (Rachel) Parker, George (Tara) Gordon, George(Pat) Thompson, Joe( Willie Mae) Thompson, Dennis (Mary) Thompson, Jay Burnette; great aunts, Diane (Jack) Smith, Gwen Farmer, Viola Gordon, Joyce Ryan, Carolyn Gilmore, Rosa Lee Gilmore, Christian (Dorrie) Tilman, Shirley Whitfield, Janet (Johnnie) Morgan, Annie Brown, Rosie White, Frances Williams, Daisy Williams, Lois Williams, Willie Williams and Alfred Williams; god-parents, Karen and Garyth Everett; god-sister, Mallory Everett; god- brother, Carson Everett; a cousin that he considered a brother, Antavious Oliphant
