Obituary For Veda Mapp

Veda Mapp passed peacefully from this life the morning of July 24, after a gradual decline in health. She was surrounded and supported by her loving mother and caregiver during the duration of her illness. Veda was born in Greensboro, Ga at Minnie G Boswell to Mamie Sue Mapp and Fredrick Moore. Her mother later married Horace Thomas who became her step-father and raised her as his own. Veda attended Greene Taliaferro Comprehension High School and a graduate of the class of 1992. She worked faithfully at Publix Supermarket as a customer service manager for many years before her sickness.

Veda is survived by her loving mother Mamie Sue Thomas of Union Point, GA, her brothers Scott Mapp (Charm) of Macon Ga, Larry Moore (Cheronne) of Crawford, Ga, and sisters Takenya Smith (McArthur) of White Plains, GA and Valisa Thornton of Lithonia, GA. Her two beautiful nieces whom she loved dearly Marissa Nicole Kelley (Tremorris Kelley) and Ora Marie Mapp. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a special friend Patrick Alexander.

She was preceded in death by her father Fredrick Moore, her stepdad Horace Thomas, her paternal and maternal grandparents.
