Funeral service for Michael Stringer, 61, of Opelika, AL, will be at 12:00 noon, Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Evergreen Cemetery, 1409 Monroe Avenue, Opelika, AL, 36801, Reverend Roger Jones will officiate.

Mr. Stringer, who passed away, Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at his home in Opelika, Alabama, was born July 26, 1962, in Lee County, Alabama.

He leaves to cherish his memory: four children, Cornelius Ortez Holloway, Nakia Holloway of Anniston, AL, Gwendolyn Lilly of Phenix City, AL and Cannasta Mitchell of Opelika, AL; ten grandchildren, Jaquavious Lyles, Jakiah Lyles, Tromarcus Lyles, Jr., Aiyanna Holloway, Keyonna Holloway, Amauri Jamon Lockhart, Amayai Jernae Mitchell, A'mir Jerryan Mitchell, Ar’moni Jace Martin and Zion Amir Grant; one great-grandchild, Ca’Mya Lyles; seven aunts, Annie Jean Stringer, Margaret Lee, Dorothy Stringer, Ruby Morgan, Betty (John) Perry all of Opelika, AL, Joann (Freddie) Johnson of Columbus, GA and Shirley Anderson of Detroit, MI; one uncle, Charles Stringer of Opelika, AL; special and devoted cousin, Kenneth Stringer of Opelika, AL; pet “Ike”;a host of other relatives and friends.
