Obituary For Lyndia Wynn Bizzell

Lyndia Catherine Wynn Bizzell, 72, of New Bern died Saturday July 20, 2024 at Pruitthealth-Trent.

Her funeral service is 11:00 AM, Friday, July 26, 2024 at St. Peter’s AME Zion 617 Queen St. New Bern, NC.

Viewing will be Thursday from 9:00 AM-6:00 PM at Oscar's Mortuary.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph A. Bizzell, Jr. of New Bern; two sons, Harlan “Al” Bizzell of Hanover, MD and Derek D. Bizzell of Colonial Heights, VA; one brother, Donald Wynn of New Bern; five sisters, Sandra W. Deans, Irma Stone both of New Bern, Mary Wynn of Charlotte, Lori Carter, Bristow, Virginia and Teresa Wynn of New Bern; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking family and friends to donate to the Alzheimer’s Association at https://www.alz.org in her honor or a charity of your choice.

Her service will be streamed on Oscar's Facebook Page.

Remembering my beautiful cousin by marriage that became my friend, so many years ago. Lynn had a quite nature , always pleasant and loving and was an asset to our family. I can,as I sit here on my porch, remember how Lynn and I would call each other's names as loudly as we could when she and Joe would come home to New Bern.To know that sweet voice will not be heard again makes me so sad.sleep on LINDA,and take your rest.
