Shirley Perun, 85, of New Bern, NC died of cancer on July 19th 2024.

She was born in Iowa in 1939 to Arthur and Lucille White and was raised on the family farm. Shirley attended Dundee K-12 before receiving a bachelor's degree in nutrition at the University of Iowa, going to work in St Louis, where she met Edmund and later married.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur White and Lucille Arnold, her husband, Edmund Perun and is survived by her son, Matthew Perun and wife, Petenera; granddaughters, Alaina, Laurel, and Sophia, her son, Stephen Perun and wife, Sheila.

The funeral service will be held July 30th at 2:00 pm at Old Saint Paul Catholic Church Middle St. A reception will follow at Saint Paul Catholic Church Country Club.
