Alethia Ann Johnson Thomas, of Henrico, departed this life July 16, 2024. Surviving are her son, Samuel P. Thomas, Jr. (Elizabeth); grandson, Brian Snider (Ashley); devoted friend, Leroy Atkins; a host of cousins other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd., where viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Monday, July 22, 2024. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday July 23, at Scott's Chapel, 116 E. Brookland Park Blvd. Rev. Ray Mckenzie, officiating, Rev. Wendell A. Johnson, eulogist. Interment Washington Memorial Park Sandston. Online guest book and live streaming at scottsfuneralhome.com

I extend my condolences to Mrs Thomas's family. She was one of my favorite teachers, tough but fair. If memory serves me correctly, she taught me Algebra I, Algebra II and advanced math. She challenged me. Every time I saw her, I was greeted with a hello and a warm smile. I last saw her a couple of years ago. After the many students shevtaufht, she has earned her reward.
