Eddie was always the cousin who was always stern. I always remember when I would go to his house, I would hang out with Paul as we would always clown. Eddie was always the stern cousin who when he walked in the room, we stopped clowning. Last year was the first time I saw him smile, and that is when we were aunt Shugs house and another cousin called him young. Your cousin David and family

I knew Eddie over the years while working for UES at athletic events. He was always a bright spot of my day when we ran into one another. I remember giving him a copy of the article about how many years he had painted the Gamecock logo at midfield on the stadium field. Eddie had a sense of pride about doing any job well, but without seeming prideful. I am glad to have counted him as a friend. He will be missed. My condolences to his loving family. I think when we get to heaven, Eddie will have already painted the Gamecock logo to anticipate the other Gamecock fans. Wayne Van Leer

Our family has been sitting in section two at Founders Park since it opened. Can always count on a huge smile and wave of a rake from Eddie walking off the field as the sections closest to the Gamecock dugout chant his name. We did not know him personally yet it's clear from his smile and demeanor that he brought joy to others. Praying that the sweetest memories of Eddie bring peace and comfort to your family. ~The Bookstavers

Eddie was a faithful friend for many years to my husband, Swayze. They met years ago at Williams Brice Stadium and became fast friends over the love of our Gamecocks. Eddie continued to help our son support the Gamecocks even after we lost Swayze in 2020. He will be greatly missed. We offer our sincere condolences to Eddie's family. The Swayze LeGrand Family
