To The Family of Samuel A. Johnson, Jr, I would like to extend my condolences. I met Sam at 9th grade Freshman Orientation at John Marshall High School . I was mesmerized by Sam and his Dad because of how much they resemble each other. That was the moment we shared our first hellos and from there we have always-had bond of respect and friendship. Sam was like no other I have ever met his grace as a young man was impeccable never a negative tone but always that signature smile. During our school days he always had a positive impact on anyone he came in contact with , in later years as an adults we kept in contact. Our main conversations over time was mainly talking trash during football season. As time passed and classmates were transitioning , I had the idea putting together a Class Reunion for the Class of 1977. I called upon him and he said , "Al whatever you need I am there." True to his word whenever I called he was always ready to lend his support. I lost my best friend recently and he was the first to call me extending condolences. He was always present and supportive in my life over years and for that I am thankful. The sudden passing of Sam left me in a state of shock and disbelief that a beautiful soul of a man has been called home. My heart is heavy. My first high school friend is gone but will never be forgotten. Blessings and prayers to you all Sam was a great man and a caring friend to all who knew him. May God bless you during this difficult time of bereavement. Alfred Fields John Marshall High School Class '77

My sincere condolences go out the family during this most difficult time in the passing of Sam. I met him during our high school years through a mutual friend (Raymond). I went to school on the south side so I didn't see him often but when I did, he was always smiling and we had a good time. A few years ago, I saw him at a funeral and we had a chance to catch up a little and talk about old times. He was a proud father and I'm sure Sam will be missed by everyone that knows him. Rest in Peace brother Sam. May God bless your soul and the entire family. Thomas (Tim) Mack Jr. Madison Height, VA
